News: Assorted Updates on The National, PLUS listen to new track ‘Demons’

Posted: 09/04/2013 in Uncategorized

The National are back with a brand new single, ‘Demons’ – the first to be taken from their fortcoming sixth studio album Trouble Will Find Me, which is set for release on Friday 17th May. It may not deviate much from what has come before it across The National’s 14 year career span, but it’s the assured sound of a band at the top of their game and a return to the form off the back of 2010’s all-conquering High Violet.

As well as a new album to look forward to, there’s also the tour documentary ‘Mistaken For Strangers’ which is set to premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival – the handiwork of Matt Beringer’s little bro Tom, a roadie turned documentarian who captured the action on The National’s world tour in support of High Violet.

And if that’s not enough to look forward to, there’s also Irish live dates in the calender for The National – their show Live at the Marquee in Cork on Friday 28th June has sold out, but they’re booked in for an autumn return to The O2 Dublin on Sunday 10th November. Tickets priced €39.00 go on sale this coming Thursday 11th April at 9am.
