The countdown continues to the release of Bell X1‘s sixth studio album, Chop Chop, on June 28th – we’ve already had a preview in the form of ‘Starlings Over Brighton Pier‘ last month, and now the band have released a second song online.
Enter ‘Careful What You Wish For’ – a piano-driven, percussion-heavy, emotive Bell X1 ballad. Subtly layered synthesised flourishes add a refreshing twists to the choruses throughout, Paul Noonan’s vocal delivery is as engaging as ever, and the band’s lyrical stylings continue in the vein of being charmingly anecdotal.
