News: Yeah Yeah Yeahs Tease Us With New Album Details

YYYSs2012It’s been a week of comebacks. First David Bowie breaking a ten year musical silence, then a reunited Destiny’s Child plugging their new forthcoming compilation album with new track ‘Nucleur’, then Justin Timberlake with some help from Jay-Z unveiling his first single since 2006’s slice of poptastic excellence FutureSex/LoveSounds, ‘Suit & Tie’. Well guess what, none of these matter anymore – COZ THE YEAH YEAH YEAHS ARE ON THEIR WAY BACK!

We knew it was coming, of course – but today New York’s finest officially announced via their official Facebook page that the follow-up to 2010’s It’s Blitz! is dubbed Mosquito and it will be with us mid-April (Friday 12th, in the case of Ireland):

Man! the years whiz past but the days are long, at long last MOSQUITO will drop APRIL 16th! Really in NO time so keep your eyes and ears peeled cuz you’ll be seeing us around son! Thanks for tuning in! They don’t love you like we do…
